Common questions
How do I play?
Drag pieces from the tray onto the 8×8 board. When three tiles of the same colour and number touch (side by side, not diagonally), they merge into one tile a level higher. That new tile can merge again and set off a chain reaction, which scores more.
The game ends when none of the pieces in your tray fit on the board.
What's the difference between Normal and Hard?
Normal merges at 3 matching tiles and eases you in with small pieces at the start. Hard merges at 4 and uses every piece shape from the first tray.
Change it in Settings (the gear in the top-left). A game already in progress keeps its rules; the new difficulty applies to your next game. Each difficulty keeps its own best score.
How do I replay the tutorial?
Open Settings and tap Replay tutorial under How to Play.
What do the small shapes on the tiles mean?
Each colour has its own symbol: a circle on blue, a triangle on green, and a diamond on orange. They're there so tiles are easy to tell apart without relying on colour.
Can I turn off sound or vibration?
Yes. Settings has separate switches for Sound and Haptics.
Will my best score move to a new phone?
Scores and stats are stored only on your device; there's no account or cloud sync. If you restore a new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup of your old one, the app's data may come with it. Deleting the app deletes your scores.
Does Chain Garden collect my data?
It collects no personal information and shows no ads. It does send anonymous gameplay statistics, such as scores and how long a session lasts, to help improve the game. The privacy policy lists everything.
